The man
behind it all
Mike was born and raised in the Sacramento area. During his last year of high school in 2001, while working for the Sacramento Jaguar dealership, Mike and his friend Evan Rowe (One of One, San Diego, CA) started learning the “art” of detailing. Together they developed a business out of Mike’s home garage called, you guessed it, Mike and Evan’s Detailing. They quickly created a name for themselves through attention to detail and customer service, growing their client list through “word of mouth.” While attending Santa Clara University, Mike continued detailing and Evan served in the United States Marine Corps.
In 2005, Mike graduated with an Accounting degree from Santa Clara University and returned to Sacramento. Over the next two years, he continued his detailing business while working in the financial industry, while Evan was completing his last tour. In 2007, Mike left his full-time job and partnered with Evan to formally establish Appearance Solutions. Their paths diverged several years later, with Evan’s move to San Diego and Mike’s enrollment in the evening program at Lincoln Law School to further his education (earning a Juris Doctorate in 2013).

Mike’s passion for taking care of high-end vehicles, combined with his love of cars and participation in track events with his BMW E36 M3, kept his focus on developing and growing Appearance Solutions. He is proud of what the business and his team have accomplished over the past 20 years.

Our facility is discretely located near Power Inn and Folsom Boulevard in Sacramento, CA.
Security is of the upmost concern when your vehicle is in our care and you can rest assured your vehicle is safe in our hands. Between our main shop and storage warehouse, vehicles are never stored outside. Our facility has the latest in CCTV (Cameras) and monitored intruder alarm.
The main shop space is tailored to meet the high standards we demand with proper lighting, vehicle lifts, and all the necessary tools to make your vehicle stand out from the rest.
